Launching a campaign: the steps, and a live preview with the pool, the 10% fee and the total

The fee sits on top. The pool stays whole.

The launch preview above, at the default pool: about 1.3M verified views at $2 per 1,000. What you send carries a few extra cents that identify your payment.

What you pay for. What you don’t.

You pay for

  • Verified views on approved posts, at your rate per 1,000. $2 to start.
  • Or a flat amount per approved post. $25 to start.
  • Or a split of the pool by views, once, when it ends.
  • Views up to 48 hours after the end date.
  • 10% on each deposit and top-up.

You never pay for

  • A fee taken out of the pool.
  • Posts a person rejects.
  • Posts under your min views, 1,000 by default.
  • Pending pay on posts deleted before it clears.
  • More than what’s left in the pool.
  • A campaign you haven’t funded.

Top up. Cap it. Get the rest back.

Left over

After the campaign ends, the Echo team refunds what’s left in the pool. It’s done by hand today, not automatically. Pending pay from rejected or deleted posts goes back into the pool.

Top-ups

Add to the pool while it runs, at least $100 to the pool, plus the fee. A top-up revives a campaign that ran dry before its end date.

Caps

Paying per 1K, cap what one post earns, $250 to start. Paying per post, cap how many posts a creator is paid for, 3 to start. Per 1K or pool share, you can also cap what one creator earns in total.

Network fees

Sending USDC on Solana needs a little SOL for network fees. That goes to the network, not to Echo.

Before you fund.

Is the fee charged on top-ups too?

Yes. Every deposit and top-up carries the 10% fee, on top, including money from backers.

What does a campaign cost before I fund it?

Nothing. It waits until the first deposit confirms, then goes live, or on its start date if that comes later.

Why does my total have odd cents?

Each quote adds a few cents no other open payment uses, so your transfer can be matched to you. They’re split between pool and fee like the rest.

Can I pay by card or in another token?

No. USDC on Solana only. Pay from your wallet, or send from anywhere, an exchange included, and paste the transaction signature. If your exchange takes its fee out of the amount, add it on top.

What if the pool runs out early?

The campaign completes and you’re told. A top-up brings it back until its end date.

Where does the fee go?

If someone referred you, they get 20% of it. The rest follows a published split. Every figure will be on Transparency at launch.

Ready when you are.
